TRO ISSUED IN GUN BAN LAWSUIT

court-2-2

The newly enacted Illinois gun ban can not be enforced for the individuals whose sued in Effingham County Court this week. This after the presiding judge Joshua Morrison granted a temporary restraining order (TRO) late Friday.  The suit was brought by attorney Thomas Devore on behalf of Accuracy Firearms and over 800 others who signed on as co-plaintiffs against the state regarding the weapons ban signed into law by Governor J.B. Pritzger saying it violates 2nd amendment rights and is unconstitutional. The TRO is effective immediately and the defendants are precluded from enforcement of the measure. The judge also scheduled a preliminary hearing  to consider further action in the matter for Wednesday, February 1st. The state is expected to file an appeal.
