Lawrenceville Police Chief Jim White has released his department activity report for November. There were 325 requests for an officer during the month. Officers conducted 15 drug investigations, 11 assault and battery investigations, 8 theft and 6 child abuse investigations. They also looked into 5 incidents of vandalism and 3 cases of burglary. There were 20 felony, 16 misdeameanor and 1 juvenile arrest made with 25 ordinance violations issued. Lawrenceville police handled 10 traffic accident in November. 7 of those involved property damage, 2 were cases of hit and run and 1 involved personal injury. The department did lend assistance to the Illinois State Police and Lawrence County Sheriffs Department 3 times, to emergency fire and medical personnel 5 times and to the general public 8 times in November.
