HOPKINS HONORED BY 2ND CIRCUIT

The Second Judicial Circuit earlier this week honored retired Lawrence County Resident Circuit Judge Robert Hopkins. Hopkins stepped down this year after 30 years on the bench. He began his service on December 7th 1992 and throughout his tenure presided over cases here in Lawrence County and through the circuit. He was honored this week by his fellow judges for his years of service and was presented with a plaque. Second Circuit Chief Justice Melissa Morgan issued a statement praising Hopkins for his dedication and committment to the administration of justice. Hopkins was succeeded by former Lawrence County States Attorney Michael Strange, who was sworn in Monday at the Lawrence County Courthouse in Lawrenceville after being elected in November.
