Vincennes University has announced it will celebrate it’s Mid-Year Commencement Ceremony this weekend. It will be held on Saturday December 3rd at 11 a.m. ET at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center in Vincennes. VU will award 625 bachelors degrees, associate degrees and certificates to graduating students from all VU sites. The graduates represent 63 of Indiana’s 92 counties, 24 states including Illinois and four countries. VU Provost Dr. Laura Treanor will preside over the ceremony with University President Dr. Chuck Johnson addressing the graduates. Taylor Wise of Linton Indiana has been named as the Mid-Year Commencement Student Speaker. She is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, Mild Intervention Degree, which prepares future educators to teach in both elementary and special education classrooms. She plans after graduating to return to her hometown and teach special ed at Linton-Stockton Middle School.
