Alan D. Raggo

Alan D. Raggo, age 61, of Rush, Kentucky, formerly of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at his residence. He was born on January 29, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Donald and Mary (Stine) Raggo Cochran. He married Beth Cannon on May 29, 1982, and she preceded him in death on July 20, 2018.

For many years, Alan and his wife, Beth, owned and operated Raggo Printing in Lawrenceville, Illinois, until it’s closing in 2004. He was the director of book stores at Vincennes University for 15 plus years. His memberships included the Rotary Club, IDC Board, and Rod and Gun Club. His hobbies included hunting, boating, sitting on the porch, watching deer, spending time with his grandchildren and beloved dogs, Mazy and Sophie, and in recent years he took comfort in reading his Bible. He was instrumental in creating the Lawrenceville Girls Softball Association.

Preceding him in death were his parents and wife.

Survivors include two daughters, Erin Brewer and husband, Jeremy of Rush, Kentucky and April Kaiser and husband, James of Vincennes, Indiana; one brother, Steve Raggo and wife, Barbara of Warrenton, Virginia; one sister, Tabora Bobe and husband, Glenn of Atlanta, Georgia; extended family, Danny Cochran and wife, Kathy, Lou Duncan and husband, Cliff, and Lisa Lackey and husband, Scott; and four grandchildren, Jadelyn Brewer, Jaycie Brewer, Mackenzie Kaiser, and Lucas Kaiser.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11:00 AM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
