The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Wind Advisory in effect from midnight Friday until 12 p.m. CDT Saturday for the entire WAKO listening area. Winds during that period are expected to be from the south at 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph as a front moves through the region bringing potential showers and thunderstorm activity. These gusty winds will blow around outdoor unsecured objects and potentially blow down tree limbs and power lines. Those who drive high-profile vehicles such as campers and RVs should use extra caution.
