A southeastern Illinois man will face trial early next month in connection with the shooting of a White County Illinois woman in August. 42 year old Sean Adam Curtiss of Altamont is scheduled to be in court on Thursday December 6th. He has been charged with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm with a Prior Conviction. The offenses stem from an incident in rural Edwards County in which Malinda Williams of Carmi was shot and wounded in the leg, side and chest. If convicted, Curtiss could get up to 30 years in prison. He remains incarcerated in the White County Jail at Carmi on $1 million bond.
