The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has issued a Food Safety Alert due to an E-Coli outbreak linked to tainted frozen falafel. Reports indicate that 20 illnesses and 5 hospitalizations have been reported in six states leading to the recall of Earth Grown vegan traditional falafel and garlic and herb falafel. Boxes were sold from ALDI stores and have led to cases of diarrhea, vomiting and dehydration in those states affected. Anyone with the frozen falafel is warned not to eat it. Consumers should throw it away or return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
