The 2022 Lawrence County Fall Festival is being called a success by it’s sponsor-the Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce. The festival completed it’s four day run on Saturday, September 18 at a new location-Wishnick Park and Mordecai Brown Field in southeastern Lawrenceville. The move was necessitated by the buildings collapse and street blockages in downtown Lawrenceville. Chamber Executive Director Paige Harvey reported to the Chamber Board of Directors Wednesday that there were some minor problems at the location but they were overcome and attendence was good throughout the week including Friday with both local high school football teams on the road with Saturday attendence down slightly. She thanked all those who were involved including the city of Lawrenceville for helping to pull off the event and was looking forward to the festivals return to it’s traditional downtown Lawrenceville location in 2023.
