Sandra Kay Stivers, age 81 of rural Sumner, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Vincennes, IN at Good Samaritan. She was born in Litchfield on February 28, 1941 to Bruce and Martha Jane (Enloe) Henman.
On January 1, 1957, Sandra married Jerry Leroy Stivers in Shawneetown.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Olney. Sandra ran a daycare for 20 years in Arkansas. After moving back to Lawrence County, she worked at the Bridgeport Senior Citizens for 10 years. Sandra enjoyed crocheting, collected all types of elephant memorabilia, and absolutely loved her family.
Surviving family includes: her husband of 65 years- Jerry Leroy Stivers of rural Sumner: two sons- Richard Lee Stivers and wife Janice of rural Sumner and Randall Leroy Stivers and wife Kimberly of Montrose, Michigan: one sister- Paula Jean Lemke of Olney: one brother- Michael Henman of Arizona: one brother-in-law- Larry Lee Stivers and wife Patsy of Olney: ten grandchildren- Tabbi Hubbard and husband Luke, Tausha Dyer and husband Chris, Randy Stivers, Alex Stivers, Tara Stivers, Brooke Stivers, Joshua Stivers, Jacob Stivers, Jasmine Lewis and husband Jude, and Seth Leathers and wife Nicole: a host of beloved great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild and one more great-great-grandchild on the way: and her nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held for Sandra Kay Stivers. Burial will take place in Shiloh/Bridgeport City Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport is assisting her family.
