According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), 59 counties across the state are rated at the High Community Level for COVID-19 spread. Lawrence, Crawford and Wabash Counties in southeastern Illinois are still among them. There are an additional 34 counties now rated Medium Community Level for COVID 19. Among them are Clay, Jasper, Richland, and Wayne. People in High areas are recommended to wear masks indoors in public, avoid non-essential public activities, improve ventilation throughout indoor spaces, and isolate and quarantine if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
