CRAWFORD COUNTY COUPLE CHARGED

2 Crawford County residents have pled guilty in federal court in Benton to breaking into cars and stealing identification and checks and using them to commit identity theft in order to obtain money from regional banks. According to US court documents, 30 year old Zachary Patrick of Oblong and 31 year old Brianna Blair of Robinson withdrew and spent thousands of dollars throughout the spree in eastern Illinois and western Indiana. They were apprehended breaking into a vehicle in Brazil Indiana and extradited to Illinois. Both entered guilty pleas to Federal Conspriracy to Commit Financial Institutional Fraud and Aggravated Identity Theft. Sentencing in federal court in Benton is scheduled for Thursday November 17th.
