The Vincennes Board of Works and Safety met Monday at City Hall and did move to renew the city health insurance package for around $174,000- a 10% increase over the previous year. The action was taken upon the recommendation of Mayor Joe Yochum. The board also gave conditional approval for the receipt of Forrest Hills Drive as a new city street. The residents along that location had petitioned to be brought into the city. There was one landowner currently in the state of Florida that was still be worked with regarding the matter and the go-ahead was given to City Engineer John Sprague to proceed once that was taken care of. The Vincennes City Council met afterward at City Hall and did approve on second and third readings the revamped city ordinance governing the disposal of grass clippings from mowing city residences.
