Tuesday June 28th is Primary Election Day in Lawrence County and across the state of Illinois. Voters will be heading to the polls to select party candidates to run for elected office in the fall. In Lawrence County, interim Lawrence County Sheriff Trent Masterson will seek the Republican Nomination for Sheriff against Annette Akers and Lawrence County States Attorney Michael Strange is looking to win the Republican nomination for Lawrence County Circuit Judge against Lindsey Waldrop. The polls will open at 6 a.m. CDT and close at 7 p.m. CDT at the various polling locations in precincts throughout the county.
