SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS QUAKE

Another earthquake occured in the region Thursday . The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a tremor was measured at 2.5 magnitude with the epicenter in southeastern Richland County about 2.5 miles east/southeast of the village of Parkersburg. It took place at 7:15 a.m. CDT and was felt from Olney to Dundas and as far south as Grayville and as far east as Princeton Indiana. The quake was recorded at a depth of just over 12 miles. No damage reports have been received.
