The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) announced this week that another road construction project is scheduled to begin in neighboring Crawford County next week. Starting Monday June 20th and lasting through Wednesday June 23rd, IDOT will close one lane of Illinois Route 1 near the railroad tracks at Gordon Junction east of Robinson. This is to allow repairs to water erosion issues at the location. Flaggers will be directing traffic and those traveling in the project area can expect some delays and should allow extra travel time.
