Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Director Woody Rousey has informed WAKO News that due to the intense heat, the Bridgeport City Hall is now being utilized as a cooling center for those without fans or air conditioning. It will be open from 1 until 5 p.m. daily. Rousey also indicated to WAKO that additional cooling center locations across the county are anticipated to open in the near future for citizen relief.
