The Lawrence Unit 20 Board of Education met in special session Tuesday evening at the Lawrenceville High School Library. They entered into executive session to interview three candidates for two administrative positions–Lawrenceville High School (LHS) Principal to succeed Paul Higginbotham and Parkview Assistant Principal and Dean of Students. Unit 20 Superintendent Doug Daugherty told WAKO News that the board is to meet again in special session next week to perhaps fill those positions. Daugherty also said that Higginbotham had expressed a desire to return to the classroom from administration and will be transferred back into the faculty at the special session next week. The Board did accept the resignation of Aaron Danielson as LHS math teacher and assistant LHS baseball coach and those positions will be posted.
