Lawrence County States Attorney Michael Strange reports that a northern Illinois man was given a prison term during sentencing this week in Lawrence County Circuit Court. 30 year old Niguel Griffin pled guilty to Aggravated Battery, a Class 2 Illinois Felony. He was sentenced to 3 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections to run consecutive to a sentence from Peoria County. Griffin will be on 1 year of mandatory supervised release after his prison stay has ended.
