Lawrence County States Attorney Michael Strange reports that two Lawrence County men were sentenced to prison this week in Lawrence County Circuit Court. 39 year old Kevin Carie of Lawrenceville was given 3 1/2 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections (DOC) and 4 years of mandatory supervised release on each of two counts of Domestic Battery, a Class 4 Illinois Felony. The sentences will run concurrently. 44 year old Ryan Swain of Bridgeport was given 2 years in the DOC and 4 years of mandatory supervised release also for Domestic Battery. He had been placed on probation but violated the terms. Both Swain and Carie must pay all previously imposed court fines and assessments.
