The Red Hill Unit #10 Board of Education met in regular monthly session Thursday in Bridgeport. They were updated by Superintendent Jakie Walker on various repair and maintenence projects ongoing at the District Office in Bridgeport, the Sumner Attendence Center and the District Band Building. The board, upon recommendation of it’s transportation committee, did approve accepting a bid of around $57,000 for a Sport Utility Vehicle. They also gave the go-ahead for the purchase of new boys and girls gym lockers. The 2022-23 student handbooks were approved along with a tenative FY 22 amended budget. The budget will be placed on file for public display for 30 days before action at the next regular meeting on June 23rd. A public hearing on the spending plan will occur at 7:15 p.m. at that meeting.
