A Knox County Indiana man is in custody on multiple offenses. Vincennes Police report that on Wednesday a 911 call was received concerning an apparent kidnapping and a gunshot fired from the vehicle involved. The Knox County Sheriffs Department (KCSD) did spot the suspected vehicle and initiated a high speed pursuit. The pursuit was later terminated after it was determined a juvenile was in the vehicle. Thursday, Vincennes Police learned of the location of the driver of the vehicle. A search warrant was obtained and executed by members of the KCSD SWAT team and Vincennes Police which resulted in the arrest of 35 year old Travis Campbell without incident. He has been preliminarily charged with Kidnapping, Criminal Confinement, Pointing a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Resisting Law Enforcement with a Vehicle and Criminal Recklessness with a Firearm. All are Indiana felonies. Campbell was being held in the Knox County Jail.
