Terry Joe Duckworth passed from this life into his heavenly home on November 29, 2021. He was born to Donald Leslie Duckworth and Mary Jane Duckworth on September 14, 1957.
Terry attended First Church of the Nazarene in Wichita Kansas, where he taught Sunday School for many years. He had a passion for studying and teaching the Bible. Terry was known for his sense of humor and his kindness to others. He also had a passion for public speaking and attended Toastmasters, where he had served as President. Terry was described as an incredible speaker and a resource for the Toastmasters Group. Terry attended Lawrenceville High School and graduated with the class of 1975. He went on to Robinson Community College, then studied Business Economics and Psychology at Indiana Wesleyan University and graduated with the class of 1979. Terry went on to study Information Technology at Webster University and graduated in 2007 with an MBA.
Terry is survived by his brother, Gary Duckworth and sister in-law, Suzan Duckworth of Madison, Indiana; as well as his beloved aunt, Jo Latham and Duane Latham; two nieces, Rachel Routt-Williams and Jessica Routt-Duckworth; and many beloved cousins. Terry loved his extended family dearly and traveled extensively to visit and spend time with his family. Terry was a blessing to his family, church and friends and will be greatly missed.
Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM CDT at the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
