Earl Dee Fleetwood, age 76 of Lawrenceville, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Lawrenceville on August 17, 1945 to Burrell and Irene (Waggoner) Fleetwood. 

Earl was a highly decorated United States Veteran. He served in Vietnam as a member of the United States Army. 

He had worked as a member of the Carpenter’s Union out of Local #546. Earl was an outdoors kind of guy and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. 

Earl is survived by: two daughters- Whisper Shick and husband Matt of Lawrenceville and Tammy Leonard and husband Gordon of Knoxville, TN: four sisters- Velma Jean Collins, Emma Laverne Inboden, and Cheryl Hall and husband Doug all of Lawrenceville, and Peggy Deem and husband Rick of Decker, IN: seven grandchildren- Kady and Sawyer Shick, Lane Robinson, and Allan, Joey, Andrew, and Jenna Leonard: one great-granddaughter: and numerous nieces and nephews. Earl is also survived by his two very special dogs whom he loved dearly, Chigger and Mollie. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, twins in infancy, a baby brother at 6 months, and one grandson, Kody Shick.

A visitation for Earl Fleetwood will be held at Cunningham-Young Funeral Home in Lawrenceville on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. A brief time of remembrance will take place at 3:00 p.m. with military rites to be given immediately following.
