Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) have announced this week that 224 cities, towns and counties across the state received a combined $107.8 million in state matching funds for local road projects through Community Crossings, a component of the Next Level Roads program. According to INDOT figures, Knox County will get $1 million dollars, Vincennes over $298,000, Bicknell over $648,000, Bruceville over $152,000 and Wheatland over $35,000 for their use. To qualify, local governments must provide local matching funds of 50% for large communities and 25% for smaller communties and have an asset management plan for maintaining existing roads and bridges.
