The City of St Francisville announced this week that Friday May 13th will be the day for the annual City Wide Cleanup. Items that will not be taken in the cleanup are paints, varnishes and stains, electronics such as TVs, computers, phones, tablets and lithium batteries, tires, appliances, anything containing freon, car batteries, anything with a gas engine, construction materials and tree limbs and yard waste. Mattresses and box springs must be wrapped completely and all carpeting must be cut up into four foot sections. Very large items that cannot be safely handled by two people will also not be picked up.
