Reports out of neighboring Richland County indicate that 60 year old Michael Mattox of Dundas has plead guilty to murder as part of a negotiated plea agreement in connection with the deaths of two Olney women late last year. He was originally charged with two counts of Murder and a count of Aggravated Battery in a Public Place after he ran his pickup truck through an Olney intersection on December 26th and into the Dueces Wild Saloon. It struck and killed 48 year old DeAnn Richardson and 69 year old Judy Jourdan who were standing on the bar patio. In exchange for the guilty plea, one of the murder charges and the aggravated battery charge were dismissed. Mattox faces anywhere from 20 to 60 years in prison when sentenced on Monday August 29th. He has been remanded back into the custody of the Richland County Sheriffs Department until that sentencing date.
