Marva Kay Griesemer, age 84, of Vincennes, Indiana (formerly of Lawrenceville) passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on November 20, 1937 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Leslie Rex and Hildred Irene (Miles) Gray. She married Robert Ray Griesemer in 1955, and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Marva was a licensed cosmetologist. She was a beauty advisor at Merle Norman Cosmetics in Vincennes for 15 years, a secretary at Adams-Meyer, Inc in Vincennes for ten years, and she worked for Golden Rule Insurance for ten years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two brothers, Gary Gray and Marlin Gray and wife, Rosella; and one sister, Shirley Jerrell and husband, Emil.
Survivors include two daughters, Heather Leigh Hartzburg and husband, Dave, of Vincennes, Indiana and Sherry Raye Byers and husband, Gregg, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; two sisters, Mary Young and husband, Stanley, of Shoals, Indiana and Trudy Greenlee and husband, Kirk, of Michigan; one sister-in-law, Linda Gray of Lawrenceville, Illinois; and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be conducted. Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois is in charge of the arrangements.
