The Lawrence County Health Department is underway with a Community Health Assessment Survey and is looking for help from the public. Every 5 years, local health departments are required to conduct a needs assessment and improvement plan. The purpose of the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) is for the LCHD to identify and better serve the health needs of Lawrence County and meet the requirements of the Certified Local Health Department Code. The end goal is to implement a plan to meet those community needs identified through the survey. Lawrence County residents are encouraged to provide their input by completing the survey. It is available online by visiting the LCHD website and Facebook page. The deadline for completion of the survey is rapidly approaching–Monday April 18th.
