The National Weather Services has continued the Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville till Friday April 8th but there is good news also. The river has crested. It crested at Lawrenceville Tuesday at 31.6 feet and is now falling. The river was at 31.32 feet Wednesday morning. It is now forecast to fall below it’s 30 foot flood stage late Thursday or early Friday. More rain is in the forecast for the area, but is not expected to impact the falling river levels.
