The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce is continuing preparations for one of it’s most popular participation events this coming weekend. The 11th Annual Celebrity Chef event will occur Saturday April 9th at the Lawrence County 4-H Center on U.S. Highway 50 between Bridgeport and Sumner. It is a fun social get-together that features over 20 well-known local participants competing in four different categories testing their culinary skills by offering up their favorite drinks and dishes. Tickets are being sold at the new Chamber Office location at 1121 State Street in Lawrenceville for $40 to the general public and $35 to Chamber members. Proceeds from the Celebrity Chef will go to the Lawrence County United Fund which provides funding to various local non-profit organizations who provide valuable services to the community.
