April is Distracted Driving Month across Illinois and the Illinois Secretary of State along with local and area law enforcement are reminding Lawrence County and other drivers about the dangers of not keeping their eyes and attention on the road when traveling. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, distracted driving accounted for 15% of all traffic crashes in 2019. Authorities will be conducted special patrols throughout the month centering on looking for distracted drivers.
