The Emergency Food and Shelter Board of Lawrence County is to receive federal money for use for food and shelter locally. Over $4900 has been allocated to the local organization through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Food and Shelter National Program. The money is part of over $400 million dollars total being disbursed to various organization across the United States.
