A Lawrence County man has been sentenced to prison in neighboring Crawford County. States Attorney Cole Shaner’s office says that 33 year old James McDowell of Sumner was given 5 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections this week for Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, a Class 2 Illinois felony. The charge stemmed from the arrest of McDowell in Robinson in June of 2021.
