The Lawrence County Board met in regular monthly session Wednesday at the county courthouse and did take action to help expedite the sale of the former United Methodist Village North Campus property to the Lawrence County Health Department. The board unanimously approved a property tax agreement to remove the liens from the property to allow the aquisition to move forward with the potential sale closing this Friday. LCHD Administrator Amy Marley says that after that occurs, they will began the move in earnest and now anticipate being in the new location before the end of the year. The board also approved the reappointment of Keith Kocher to a three year term with the Lawrence-Allison Fire Protection District. They also moved to proceed with the creation of a Lawrence County website through Kemper Technologies upon recommendation of the finance committee.
