This weekend marks the return of Daylight Saving Time. Lawrence County residents and others should turn their clocks forward one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday March 13th. Two states-Arizona and Hawaii do not observe Daylight Saving Time. Daylight Saving Time will remain in effect until November 6th. The time change is also a good reminder for people to test and inspect their smoke and CO alarms and replace the batteries in them. The National Fire Protection Association reports that almost three out of five home fire deaths in the United States resulted from fires in homes with no smoke alarms or non-working smoke alarms.
