Illinois State Police at Carmi report the death of a Wayne County woman in a two vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon. Authorities say that an SUV being driven by 68 year old Kathy Richardson of Geff was heading east on Illinois Route 15 when she veered across center and into the path of an oncoming semi whose driver was 45 year old Robert Cline of Cisne and the two vehicles collided. Richardson was pronounced dead at the scene while Cline and a 12 year old girl who was a passenger in the Richardson vehicle were uninjured. The road was closed for 4 1/2 hours to allow investigation of the accident and cleanup of the wreckage.
