The St Francisville City Council met Wednesday evening and continued discussions on the startup of the water meter replacement project. They voted to use $22,000 of their COVID Relief Funding to help finance the project. More discussions will be held on the number of meters to be installed on a monthly basis in the future. The council received 3 bids for demolition work at 9th and Clark Streets and voted to accept the over $16,000 bid of Wayne’s Tree Service to do the work. Also approved was over $46,000 of motor fuel tax money for city use. Members were also updated on the installation of security cameras at the bridge toll booth and the planned installation of similar cameras at the city water plant. Friday May 13th is the planned city-wide cleanup date. Details regarding what will and will not be picked up will be publicized by the city as the day draws closer.
