REBUILD ILLINOIS FUNDING

Governor J.B. Pritzger and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Wednesday announced that a fifth $250 million installment of the Rebuild Illinois capital program is being made to counties, municipalities and townships to address local transportation needs. Over 2,290 projects have already been supported through four previous installments and over 3,500 miles of road and nearly 350 bridges statewide have been repaired or replaced. According to IDOT figures released this week, Lawrence County will receive over $91,600 in it’s first of 6 allotments of a total of over $549,000. Among local municipalities, Bridgeport will get over $20,700 in it’s first allotment of over $124,000, Lawrenceville over $47,000 of over $286,500, Russellville over $1000 of an over $6,100 allotment, St Francisville over $7600 of an over $45,000 allotment and Sumner over $34,800 of an over $209,000 allotment.
