The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,634 new cases of coronavirus across the state Wednesday with an additional 32 deaths. There was only 1 positive case Wednesday in Lawrence County and only 2 cases in Knox County Indiana. Overall since the pandemic began, there have now been 3,042,495 cases of the disease and 33,010 deaths in Illinois. A total of 21,198,094 vaccinations have now been administered at various sites across Illinois since the vaccine rollout began with over 4.1 million booster doses given. The IDPH reports that 38% of the total Lawrence County population is now fully vaccinated.
