VINCENNES ARRESTS

Two people are in custody on multiple drug charges after their arrests by Vincennes Police early Wednesday. Reports indicate that at around 12 a.m. ET, police were alerted to a reckless vehicle in the 400 block of South 10th Street. Upon arrival, officers spotted a vehicle matching the description unoccupied but running. Upon approaching the auto, the smell of raw marijuana was detected coming from inside. Shortly thereafter, 40 year old Andre Hardy of Vincennes-the registered owner of the vehicle and 35 year old Tiffanie Adkins also of Vincennes exited a residence and encountered the officers. A probable cause search of the vehicle of the vehicle uncovered suspected methamphetamine, synthetic marijuana and hypodermic syringes. During the search, Hardy attempted to flee on foot and was captured after a short pursuit.  He has been preliminarily charged with Possession of a Synthetic Drug, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Hypodermic Syringe, Dealing in Marijuana and Resisting Law Enforcement. Adkins was charged with Marijuana Possession, Meth Possession and Possession of Drug Paraphenalia. Both were booked into the Knox County Jail pending bond.
