The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 1,841 new cases of coronavirus across the state Tuesday with 40 additional deaths. There were no case reports from the Lawrence County Health Department and 4 cases were reported in Knox County Indiana. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 3,003,061 cases of the disease and 32,803 deaths in Illinois. A total of 21,118,650 vaccinations have now been administered at sites across the state since the vaccine rollout began with over 4.1 million booster doses given. The IDPH and CDC report that close to 38% of the total Lawrence County population is now fully vaccinated.
