RIVER FLOOD WARNINGS CONTINUE

The National Weather Service says the Flood Warning for the Embarras River at Lawrenceville will remain in effect until Tuesday. Saturday morning, the river was at 34.1 feet down 3/10ths foot from Friday and continuing to steadily fall. It is expected to fall below the 30 foot flood stage late Monday night or early Tuesday. Flooding is continuing in the Lawrenceville area. The Flood Warning for the Wabash River at Vincennes has been extended until next weekend. The river Saturday was at 20.6 feet and rising- over 4 feet above flood. The river is anticipated to crest Saturday and then begin to fall steadily. It is forecast to fall below it’s 16 foot flood stage Sunday March 6th.
