The National Weather Service is continuing a Winter Weather Advisory in effect for the WAKO listening area until 6 a.m. CST Friday. After freezing rain and drizzle created a thin glaze of ice Wednesday evening into Thursday morning across the region, more winter precipitation is forecast to re-develop Thursday afternoon with a mix of freezing rain and sleet by mid to late afternoon with some snow mixed in during the evening before coming to an end. Snow accumulations of less than one inch and ice accumulations of up to 1/10th of an inch are possible along and south of Interstate 70. Plan on slippery road conditions if traveling during the period. Slow down and use caution.
