Betty Lou Shidler Larrison, age 86, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Lawrence County Memorial Hospital in Lawrenceville, Illinois. She was born on October 09, 1935 in Lawrence County, Illinois, the daughter of Harley and Agnes (Gudgel) Conover. She married John Shidler, and they had three children together. She then married Lowell Larrison on February 26, 1985, and he preceded her in death on November 04, 1995.
Betty was a homemaker, and worked for Fox Furniture in Lawrenceville and Oblong. In her younger years, she worked on the farm. She attended Island Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, reading, doing word search puzzles, listening to southern gospel music, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two infant brothers; and one great-grandchild, Alexus.
Survivors include three children, Lois Timms and husband, Charlie of Farmington, New Mexico, Jerry Shidler and wife, Jamie of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Connie Banks and husband, Dean of Saint Anne, Illinois; two sisters, Clara Judy of Bridgeport, Illinois and Wanda Sechrest and husband, Calvin of Lawrenceville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Lacey Kerns and husband, Brad, Amanda Williams and husband, Travis, Jayla Shidler, and Jerren Shidler and fiancé, Ryan Kull; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM CST at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the service hour of 1:00 PM CST at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Senior Citizens.
