The Lawrence County Board met in regular monthly session Wednesday at the county courthouse in Lawrenceville and approved a resolution for improvement under the Illinois Highway Code. The move frees up motor fuel tax money for some culvert replacement projects in Petty Township. They also accepted the low bid of Depew and Owen of around $502,000 for bridge construction work over Bugaboo Creek northwest of Sumner in Petty Township. Also approved was the amending of the county budget for the purchase of court records digitalization and a resolution continuing the county in the State Appellate Prosecutors program at a cost of $7000.
