NEW JASPER COUNTY JUDGE

The Illinois Supreme Court has announced that Chad Miller has been appointed as the resident Circuit Court Judge for Jasper County in the 4th judicial circuit. The appointment fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Daniel Hartigan. Miller will begin his new duties on March 4th and the appointment ends December 5th when the vacancy will be filled by the winner of the November 8th general election. Miller has served as the Jasper County States Attorney since 2015. The 4th circuit includes the counties of Jasper, Clay, Clinton, Christian, Effingham, Fayette, Marion, Montgomery and Shelby Counties.
