Reports out of neighboring Crawford County indicate that the city of Robinson was the site of a public alert by a local oil refinery. The Crawford County Sheriffs Department received a statement Tuesday from officials with Marathon Petroleum around 10 a.m. CT that the company alarm was sounded at the Robinson Refinery. The company did not specifically say why the alarm was sounded, but did indicate that the situation was under control. The company also stated that as a precautionary measure, the air monitoring resources for the surrounding area were activated. No other details were released.
