The Bridgeport City Council met Tuesday night at City Hall and were updated by Mayor Tyler Griffin on the ongoing city sewage lagoon situation. The city has been working for almost a year and a half on a solution to persistent problems at the location and the mayor indicated that the matter may be heading toward litigation. The council discussed but took no actions on property annexations with regard to city sewer service. They also discussed a legal review that will be done on the sale of the Wesleyan Church property but no action was warranted. The council Budget Committee is expected to meet before the end of February to discuss fiscal matters and the budget.
