The Illinois Department of Public Health reported 8,665 new cases of coronavirus and 123 additional deaths across the state Tuesday. There were 96 positive cases reported as of Tuesday by the Lawrence County Health Department and 33 positive cases reported Tuesday in Knox County Indiana. Overall since the pandemic began, there have been 2,929,636 cases of the disease with 31,036 deaths total. A total of 20, 548,687 vaccinations have been administered at sites across Illinois since the vaccine rollout began with over 3.8 million booster doses. The IDPH reports that 37.21% of the Lawrence County total population is now fully vaccinated with 41.2% having received 1 dose of the vaccine. There have been 2,284 booster doses given in the county.
